These lower parts of Brunate perform very nicely in the cooler vintages

particularly on the finish

This is also quite pretty with its mix of plum

dark chocolate and anise

The floral element comes back strong on the mineral-driven finish

Henri Gouges, Nuits Saint Georges Pruliers Vintage:2012 These lower parts of Brunate(from a 2 ha parcel with a mix of 80% 75+ year old vines and the remainder of 15 to 20 year old vines). A more deeply pitched and brooding nose only grudgingly reveals its aromas of cassis plum liqueur and pungent earth where the latter is also found on the vibrant and well detailed big bodied and tautly muscular flavors that deliver excellent depth and persistence. This is not as dense as the best in the range, but it should have no trouble amply
