Sensus B.V. Becomes Cosun Ingredients

From 1st July 2026, Sensus B.V. will officially operate under the new name Cosun Ingredients B.V., marking an important step in the integration of Royal Cosun’s ingredient businesses under one unified organisation.

This transition brings together complementary ingredient expertise within a single platform focused on plant-based food ingredients, nutrition, sustainability and innovation. For customers, it represents an exciting opportunity to access a broader portfolio of solutions while continuing to rely on the trusted products, quality standards and service they know.

What Is Changing?

The change from Sensus B.V. to Cosun Ingredients B.V. is primarily an administrative and branding transition.

Importantly, there will be no changes to:

  • Product specifications
  • Manufacturing locations
  • Quality standards
  • Day-to-day service arrangements
  • Existing Frutafit® and Frutalose® products

Customers can therefore continue using the same trusted chicory root fibre ingredients with confidence and continuity.

Bringing Together Complementary Ingredient Technologies

What makes this development particularly significant is the strategic combination of ingredient technologies within the new Cosun Ingredients platform.

Sensus is well known for its chicory root fibre and prebiotic ingredient expertise, including the established Frutafit® and Frutalose® ranges. These ingredients support a wide variety of formulation goals, including:

  • Fibre enrichment
  • Sugar reduction
  • Fat replacement
  • Gut health positioning
  • Texture and mouthfeel improvement
  • Cleaner label product development

Alongside this, the integration of the Tendra fava bean ingredient range adds further opportunities for food manufacturers seeking plant-based protein, texture and sustainability benefits.

Supporting the Future of Food Innovation

The combination of chicory root fibre functionality with fava bean ingredient technology creates strong potential across multiple food and beverage categories.

This includes applications such as:

  • Plant-based foods
  • Dairy alternatives
  • Bakery products
  • Beverages
  • Nutritional products
  • Better-for-you formulations
  • High-fibre and reduced-sugar concepts

By bringing these ingredient solutions together, Cosun Ingredients is well positioned to help manufacturers develop next-generation products that meet growing consumer demand for nutrition, sustainability and cleaner label innovation.

Continuity for Customers, Broader Opportunities for Innovation

For existing customers, the key message is continuity. The products, service and quality standards associated with Sensus remain unchanged.

At the same time, the transition to Cosun Ingredients opens the door to a broader and more integrated ingredient portfolio, allowing customers to explore new formulation possibilities across fibre, protein, texture and plant-based innovation.

This integrated approach will help support the development of nutritionally enhanced and more sustainable food solutions across a wide range of categories.

Looking Ahead

We are pleased to share this exciting development from our long-standing partners and look forward to continuing to support customers with the expanded Cosun Ingredients portfolio.
